Who I am         

Hello. My name is Maureen Schiller and I am a counsellor working in private practice as a counsellor and supervisor in Tideswell, Derbyshire. I also have a small practice in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. I have been working as a counsellor for 15 years and a supervisor for ten years.

In my supervision practice I offer consultative support for other counsellors. They meet with me as a professional colleague with whom they can reflect on their philosophy and relationships with their clients as part of their own ongoing personal development. Some of my supervisees are in private practice and others are volunteer cousellors who work for voluntary agencies.

I run a flexible diary which includes appointment times during the day and evening and at the end of each one hour session we find a mutually acceptable time to meet again.

My philosophy and practice are grounded in Person-Centred Approach, but I am open to and interested in other approaches and philosophies too. In particular I have undertaken training focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Approach and also on Psychodynamic Approach.
